Descriptions
Transfers or referred to by the old timers as "slam-bangs' for the sounds
made during the transfer process are a dump truck and pull trailer combination capable of 24+ tons or up to 30 cubic yards if weight
allows.
Semi-End Dump is a tractor-trailer combination. The end dump combination generally hauls 19+ tons depending on the particular
equipment. Volumne is about 20 cubic yards for the most common heavy duty boulder hauler. High sided demolition
trailers range 50-60 cubic yards capacity.
10 Wheelers can be just the truck 1/2 of a transfer combination or a stand alone 3
axle dump truck.
Depending on the dump body installed most can haul 13 tons or up to 15 cubic yards. Some have special heavy duty dump
bodies capable of hauling large boulders, broken concrete or demolition waste.
