Sand has multitude of uses ranging from playgrounds to industrial filters. Golf coarse applications include sand traps and top dressing soil. Most utilitiy connections require a sand bedding material. Concrete contains sand as well as plaster and masonry applications. Horse arenas use sand as a riding surface.

 

Sand can be natural as found on the beach, or manufactured as a byproduct of crushing stone. Natural sand will have rounded corners and have a "soft" feel. Manufactured sand will have mostly sharp edges as caused by the breaking away from the host rock. The feel will be very abrasive.

 

Most all sand needs can be met after a proper understanding of intended use. Requirements for color, gradation, texture can usually be met by one of many production sources we use.
